Uplinq, Global Credit Assessment Platform, SMB, USA, Intellectual Property, Verde International, Loan Originations, UnderwritingFollowing an extended planning period, Uplinq has now fully launched its innovative service to the market. The company’s solution is the first global credit assessment platform designed to provide small and medium-sized business (SMB) lenders with greater decision-making confidence. The system analyses billions of unique and validated data signals beyond traditional credit indicators to help SMB lenders make the most accurate decisions possible.

With Uplinq’s platform, lenders can gain deep insights on all new credit applicants and SMBs within their existing portfolio whilst also being empowered to support better the underserved, unbanked, minority and immigrant small business owners.

Uplinq’s launch has been bolstered by its recent intellectual property (IP) acquisition of Verde International’s AI engine. The acquired technology has served as a foundational component for the underwriting of over $1.4 trillion in loans over the past 15 years. These loan originations have amassed billions of data points, which have been scientifically tested and validated by local regulators and now provide Uplinq with a deep knowledge of local small business key risk and performance indicators.

Uplinq is launching with CEO and Founder Ron Benegbi at its helm. With over 25 years of experience as a senior technology executive, Ron understands the potential for innovations to revolutionize traditional financial processes. He will be supported by the company’s Co-Founder, Pat Reilly, a credit lending expert with over 30 years of experience in senior positions within the financial services sector. They will be joined by several other experienced technologies and financial services professionals working in the company’s senior roles.

Speaking about the launch, Ron Benegbi, Founder and CEO of Uplinq, commented: “This is an exciting day for Uplinq and for SMB lenders across the globe. Uplinq is the first platform of its kind in the market. We are going to provide lenders with the confidence they need to make the most accurate lending decisions possible. Our goal is to make an impact in the lives of millions of families in both underserved and served communities all over the world.”

Recently, IBS Intelligence sat down with Ron Benegbi, Uplinq’s Founder and CEO to discuss how the start-up is helping SMBs become financially viable.
