NETSTARS & ACI Worldwide to bolster Japan’s payment ecosystem
By Gloria Mathias
NETSTARS has partnered with ACI Worldwide to support the further international development of cashless payments in Japan.
The two companies will join forces to offer a one-stop payment acceptance solution for payment service providers and merchant acquirers, creating a seamless and secure payment ecosystem for processing domestic and cross-border payments.
This partnership will combine ACI’s payment ecosystem with NETSTARS’ expertise in cashless payments. It will allow payment service providers and merchant acquirers in Japan to accelerate speed to market with new innovative payment services, modernise merchant and consumer payment experiences, and lower the total cost of ownership.
Key advantages of ACI’s one-stop payment acceptance solution are:
- The solution supports the ISO 20022 framework to enable payment automation, cost-effective communications, interoperability, and payment intelligence through the standard, rich, and structured data format. The solution brings ACI’s global experience, industry best practices, and international card scheme compliance to the Japanese market.
- Payment service providers and merchant acquirers can launch new value-added services quickly and cost-efficiently for card-present and non-card-present payments from and to any channels and endpoints via the flexible payment configuration and orchestration capabilities of the innovative solution. With both cloud and on-premises deployment options, payment service providers and acquirers can choose the modernisation journey that best suits their digital transformation strategy.
Leslie Choo, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of APAC at ACI Worldwide, shared, “We are thrilled to work with NETSTARS to revolutionise the payment landscape in Japan and beyond. This collaboration allows us to combine ACI’s leading-edge technology with NETSTARS’s deep industry expertise and payment capabilities. Together, we can help our clients unlock the immense potential of a next-generation payment ecosystem.”
NETSTARS President and CEO Tsuyoshi Ri said, “NETSTARS is very pleased to be working with ACI to bring innovation to the Japanese payments industry. Through this collaboration, we will provide the best solutions for Japanese financial institutions and merchants to create a more secure and efficient payment environment.”
