Netox taps ServiceNow for AI governance

Nordic IT services provider Netox has announced the deployment of ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower across its business operations, in a move aimed at strengthening governance, compliance and oversight as organisations increasingly adopt artificial intelligence and autonomous agents.

The implementation, being delivered in partnership with Synechron | ServiceNow, positions Netox among the first organisations in Europe to publicly commit to using the AI governance platform across its enterprise AI environment. The project is currently underway and is expected to be completed within three months.

ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower has been designed to provide organisations with a centralised framework for monitoring and governing AI systems, autonomous agents and AI-powered workflows. The platform integrates with broader governance, risk and compliance (GRC) frameworks, enabling organisations to manage regulatory requirements while maintaining visibility across their AI deployments.

Netox said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to scale the use of agentic AI while ensuring accountability and compliance remain embedded throughout the technology lifecycle.

Mikko Pöyry, Vice President, IT Services at Netox, said organisations operating in regulated industries face increasing pressure to demonstrate that AI systems are governed responsibly. He noted that the deployment would help bridge the gap between AI adoption and accountability while supporting the company’s long-term growth ambitions.

As part of the engagement, Synechron’s specialist agentic AI practice will also support the design, development and deployment of governed AI solutions for Netox. The approach aims to embed governance controls from the outset rather than introducing them after implementation.

Tomi Rekonen, Head of Enterprise Architecture at Synechron ServiceNow, said the partnership reflects growing demand for scalable AI solutions that can meet compliance requirements in regulated environments. He added that the project would help Netox introduce operational efficiencies while extending governance-focused AI capabilities to its customers.

The deployment highlights a broader industry trend as enterprises seek to balance rapid AI innovation with increasing regulatory scrutiny, particularly in Europe where organisations are preparing for evolving AI governance and compliance requirements.
