These tools will enable financial institutions to enhance transaction security for their customers, particularly in online payments.

With financial fraud surging across Europe—fraudulent transactions totalled €4.3 billion in 2022 and €2.0 billion in the first half of 2023—businesses are facing increasingly sophisticated scams, especially in account-to-account transactions.

As part of this initiative, Intergiro and Movitz will create robust account verification solutions for financial institutions, including Intergiro itself. Intergiro will integrate these verification tools directly into its digital banking products, reinforcing its existing fraud prevention framework. This effort builds upon Intergiro’s partnership with fraud prevention expert SEON, further strengthening its commitment to safeguarding customers from financial fraud.

Utilising these payment verification solutions, Financial Institutions will be able to provide their customers with the following support:

  • Advanced Fraud Prevention: Real-time verification of beneficiary payment details substantially reduces fraud risk, eliminating manual checks and delays and giving customers confidence in safe, immediate transactions.
  • Global Verification Capability: Movitz deploys comprehensive global verification networks to secure payments worldwide, enabling reliable and trustworthy cross-border transactions.
  • Transparent and Intuitive Security Interface: Integrated seamlessly within financial institution platforms, this interface provides customers with instant feedback on transaction validity, offering clear insights and full control over their financial activities.

“Financial security requires staying ahead of evolving threats,” said Ben Taylor, COO at Intergiro. “Our partnership with Movitz equips Financial Institutions and their customers with proactive tooling to counter financial fraud, allowing them to focus on growth with complete transaction confidence.”

Magnus Hedenberg, CEO of Movitz, added, “We are passionate about preventing financial fraud and providing secure payment environments. Our partnership with Intergiro greatly enhances our capability to deliver advanced account verification solutions globally, ensuring customers benefit from secure, seamless and verified transactions.”
