Why it matters: For FinTechs, it demonstrates the importance of liquidity aggregation, API-driven trading, and real-time risk management in scaling international payment services while improving execution quality and market access.

Movantis, a financial infrastructure platform focused on cross-border value movement across Latin America, has selected Integral’s technology to enhance its foreign exchange (FX) and liquidity offering for institutional clients, including banks, payment networks, and digital asset operators.

The move is designed to support growing demand for cross-border and embedded finance solutions while expanding access to liquidity services across Movantis’ network.

Under the agreement, Movantis has integrated Integral FX, the provider’s full-stack foreign exchange platform, which includes pricing, liquidity aggregation, risk management, and distribution capabilities.

Robert Gatto, Chief Revenue Officer at Movantis, said, “FX and liquidity capabilities are a core part of the cross-border infrastructure we are building across Latin America. Integral gives us deeper access to liquidity, stronger execution capabilities, and the flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our institutional clients. As we grow, this foundation will allow us to expand our FX capabilities and deliver more value to our clients across the Movantis platform.”

Integral’s technology provides a unified environment for managing FX operations, enabling Movantis to better integrate liquidity services offered through licensed third parties with its broader cross-border payments infrastructure.

The implementation also introduces new liquidity distribution channels for Movantis, including an institutional trading platform, direct API-based trading capabilities, and API connectivity to third-party multi-dealer venues. These services can be delivered through Movantis’ network of licensed partners, extending access to institutional clients across multiple markets.

The enhanced infrastructure is expected to strengthen Movantis’ ability to connect with global liquidity providers while improving execution quality and user experience for customers operating in cross-border payments and money transfer markets.

The companies said the initiative will also support Movantis’ regional growth strategy, particularly as demand for Mexican peso liquidity and cross-border payment services continues to increase.

Harpal Sandhu, CEO of Integral, said, “Movantis’ broad, cross-industry customer base demonstrates the importance of delivering this reliable global connectivity to FX markets for a wide range of institutions. We’re pleased to support the company in driving value for existing clients and spearheading this pillar of its long-term business strategy under the unified Movantis identity.”
