Mollie, PayPal, Financial Service Provider, BNPL, FinTech, UK, EuropeFinancial service provider Mollie has partnered with PayPal to deliver secure and easy payment solutions for marketplace platforms across Europe.

Mollie will be able to offer PayPal to marketplaces in the European Union and the UK. Thanks to PayPal, Mollie’s full payment solution offering will further enhance, providing a wide range of payment options, including credit/debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfers, and local payment methods.

Additionally, Mollie supports Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) options and is the only provider to accept gift cards at multi-seller checkout. This enables the monetisation of gift cards in a marketplace setup.

With Mollie Connect, marketplaces can help drive revenue growth and reduce operational costs simultaneously. Mollie’s managed support and onboarding streamline operations and reduce overhead, allowing platforms to focus on growth without the operational costs or technical burden.

Paul van der Boor, Group Product Manager for Partnerships at Mollie, said, “By collaborating with PayPal, we are advancing our mission to simplify payments for platforms. Marketplaces can now offer PayPal to their customers without requiring a separate integration and re-onboarding of all of their sellers. Instead, they can outsource all technical complexity and operational workload to Mollie. This allows the marketplace to focus on its core strengths while Mollie handles all payment-related tasks, empowering marketplaces and SaaS platforms with seamless payment integration and monetisation.”

“Marketplaces have been a growing share of total eCommerce for years and an area of exciting innovation. The combination of Mollie’s strengths and PayPal’s seamless and secure consumer experiences is well-suited for the Marketplace segment. We are already seeing high demand, and we expect to see continued strength from the collaboration”, says Guillaume Demier, Sr. Director of Partnerships Europe at PayPal.

Itai Gross, CEO at fonQ.nl, said, “Mollie Connect is easier to integrate than other market solutions because they have streamlined the feature set to focus on what is essential for our business, keeping things simple and efficient.”
