Metzler, Germany’s oldest bank with an unbroken tradition of family ownership, and aixigo, the international software provider for digital services in the field of wealth management and investment advisory, will jointly design a solution for discretionary wealth management.

The Frankfurt-based private bank Metzler is Germany’s oldest bank dating back more than 345 years. Metzler concentrates on providing individual capital market services for institutions and demanding private clients in four key areas: Asset Management, Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Private Banking.

aixigo has the world’s fastest API-based wealth management platform for investment advisory, portfolio management, portfolio risk management, cash flow planning, portfolio analysis, and portfolio monitoring. The platform, equipped with more than 100 digital services, delivers constant trend-setting and genuine added value innovations to aixigo’s customers and their savings and investment customers. aixigo’s international customers, including Bank Vontobel, BNP Paribas, Commerzbank, and Hargreaves Lansdown, are already benefiting from the aixigo platform.

Frank Naab, Head of Private Banking at Metzler, said: “In the tender, aixigo’s API-based wealth management platform offered the highest level of variability to meet Metzler’s individual requirements. With the jointly defined solution, we will offer high-quality wealth management services to our demanding customers. Moreover, the platform guarantees excellent data security, process security, and compliance thanks to tried-and-tested standards. Added to this are qualities such as high scalability and speed, which are crucial both at present and in the future. In summary, these were arguments that convinced us to do this joint project.”

Christian Friedrich, CBO and founder of aixigo, commented: “We are very pleased that Bankhaus Metzler, a leading player in private banking, selected us. I believe that Metzler will make use of even more of our platform’s capabilities in the upcoming years, in line with our other customers. In any case, Metzler is well-equipped for the future challenges in the wealth management sector.”
