HealthTech platform MedySeva, which delivers both telemedicine and in-person consultations to rural and semi-urban communities, has raised  $480,000 in a seed funding round led by Unicorn India Ventures. The investment will accelerate the company’s mission to create a phygital healthcare ecosystem that bridges India’s healthcare divide and brings quality medical services to underserved regions.

The funds will be strategically deployed to expand MedySeva’s network of hybrid healthcare clinics across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, enhance its telemedicine technology platform, and strengthen its digital infrastructure to support scale and efficiency. The company also plans to increase patient outreach and engagement through targeted awareness campaigns, while building and training a robust clinical and operations team to support its next phase of growth.

Over the past year, MedySeva has facilitated more than 100,000 consultations across rural and semi-urban India, achieving a repeat patient rate of 60%. The company aims to double this figure to 200,000 consultations annually within the next 18 months. As part of its expansion strategy, MedySeva has partnered with leading medical colleges to establish satellite clinics in rural peripheries and has onboarded specialists across more than ten medical disciplines, from general practice to neurology and gynaecology, to strengthen its clinical service portfolio.

Vishesh Kasliwal, Founder & CEO, MedySeva, said, “At MedySeva, our mission is simple yet powerful to make quality healthcare accessible to every Indian, irrespective of location. The current round strengthens our ability to scale our hybrid healthcare model, enabling city-based specialists to reach patients in the most underserved regions. We are now ready to accelerate our next phase of growth by building an integrated doctor and hospital network that bridges India’s healthcare divide.”

Bhaskar Majumdar, Managing Partner, Unicorn India Ventures, added, “Healthcare access is a big gap in a country like India. We understand this market has several nuances that should be addressed, ranging from paying for healthcare and out-of-pocket expenses to insurance and access to quality doctors. The gap becomes bigger as we go deeper into India. The ratio of doctors to patients needs immediate attention. MedySeva is addressing this by using technology to deliver critical healthcare services to rural and semi-urban areas. Their ability to scale quickly with the help of the right partnerships and digital infrastructure is well thought out and has the potential to scale well.”
