KLEAR names Donna Embry as President and COO

KLEAR Technologies, FinTech, Donna Embry, USAKLEAR Technologies, Inc., a disruptive FinTech company focused on securely authenticating and enabling financial transactions, recently announced it has named payments industry veteran Donna Embry as president and chief operating officer. Embry will have focused oversight of the company’s SecurPair offering which was recently certified by the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) as the world’s first Next Gen ATM product.

“Donna’s vast experience in payments, and specifically the global ATM industry, is legendary,” said Scott Hazard, co-founder of KLEAR Technologies. “Her knowledge, expertise and deep network of industry relationships will be instrumental in helping us take SecurPair to the next level by driving significant revenue growth and user adoption,” added Hazard.

“SecurPair’s patented, proprietary process provides a sensible and secure alternative or supplement to near field communications and contactless technology, which enables consumers to make quick, simple and secure transactions from mobile devices,” states Embry. “I am excited to lead the charge in making SecurPair an ubiquitous part of everyday commerce.”

A seasoned professional with more than five decades of experience, Embry currently heads Embry Consulting, LLC. She previously held senior positions with Evolve Bank & Trust, Payment Alliance International (now PAI), Vital Processing Services (now Global Payments) and PNC Bank. Embry currently serves as co-chair for ATMIA’s U.S. regional board and is a board member of the Northeast Acquirers Association (NEAA).

Embry has been honored for her payments and ATM industry contributions over the years. She received the Midwest Acquirers Association (MWAA) Lifetime Achievement Award in July of 2009. In 2013, 2014 and 2019, she was recognized among the 20 Most Influential Women in Payments by SourceMedia. In 2016, Embry received the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) Distinguished Payments Professional Award and was recognized by ATMIA as an ATM Industry Champion. She received the Distinguished Payments Professional Award from the Women in Payments global payments ecosystem network in 2017 and the international PayTech Leadership Award from FinTech Futures in 2018. In 2019, Embry was inducted into the ETA Payments Hall of Fame.
