Klarna rolls out redesigned app to boost shopping experience for UK users
By Megha Bhattacharya
Klarna today announced the launch of its newly redesigned app in a bid to boost the shopping experience for its users across the UK. The new app is expected to cover the entire shopping journey of users with content personalised on the basis of users’ interests, preferred stores, and previous shopping behavior. The app’s new features include Wish lists, price drop notifications, deals, and exclusively curated content.
Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO and co-founder of Klarna, commented, “Our mantra at Klarna has always been about creating the smoothest experiences for our users. In the past few months, we’ve seen a shift in shopping behaviour with millions fully embracing digital purchasing for the first time as physical stores were closed.
Despite the shifting retail landscape, consumers are still looking for inspiration, convenience, and value, and it’s become obvious that shopping online now goes far beyond just a transaction. The new Klarna app elevates the entire shopping experience, from start to finish by bringing together all the best aspects of shopping in one place, giving Klarna users a unique and personalised experience at their fingertips.”
Klarna stated that following discovery, shopping takes place within its app on a retailer’s website through an iframe with the option to pay for products either by Klarna or by traditional methods such as credit or debit card.
Recently, Klarna announced the launch of KlarnaSense, an initiative to encourage consumers to shop smarter by purchasing right things at the right time. The initiative utilises retail psychology for promoting mindful shopping with the help of Rule of Three.
