Klarna launches in Italy with its ‘Pay in 3’ offering

Global payments provider, Klarna has officially launched in Italy with the release of Pay in 3 solution. Italian customers will now be able to use Klarna’s new shopping solution with H&M, Michael Kors and with several other well-known merchants to follow in future.

The Pay in 3 solution will allow Italian shoppers to purchase their goods from their favourite online stores and spread the cost of their purchase over three instalments, charged every 30 days. The service comprises of no interest or fees if the users pay on time. The FinTech has also introduced the Klarna app for allowing users to keep track and manage payments.

“… We believe the future of retail is high tech powering high touch experiences, so regardless of how and when consumers want to shop and pay, we need to be there for them. That’s why we focus on unique shopping solutions that allow consumers to take control and shop on their own terms. We are very excited to launch in Italy today and elevate the shopping experience for all Italians”, said Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO and co-founder of Klarna.

Stockholm-based Klarna’s merchant partners include Inditex, H&M, Sephora, Michael Kors, Mango, Wayfair, IKEA, Expedia Group, Samsung, AliExpress, ASOS, Boohoo, RayBan, Levi’s, Ticketmaster, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Nike.

Recently, Klarna announced the launch of its newly redesigned app in a bid to boost the shopping experience for its users across the UK. The new app is expected to cover the entire shopping journey of users with content personalised on the basis of users’ interests, preferred stores, and previous shopping behaviour.
