Klarna, a global payments and shopping platform provider, has announced that the company has joined Financial Health Network, the leading authority on financial wellness, with the goal of improving financial health for all.
According to company data, Klarna serves more than nine million consumers in the U.S. by offering a frictionless shopping journey at more than 4,300 retailers in the U.S. and 200,000 globally. The firm helps consumers manage their finances with various tools and services, including interest-free installments with Pay in 4 and Pay in 30 so that shoppers can enjoy the financial freedom to choose how and when to pay.
The membership with Financial Health Network is built on Klarna’s mission to empower consumers and their financial lives through flexible and transparent payment options. Consumers are increasingly looking for budgeting tools that enable them to make purchases and pay overtime in a manageable way tailored to their financial circumstances. With payment technologies undergoing rapid changes, Klarna’s goal is to ensure consumers receive transparent terms and straightforward communication, and that all consumers receive help and support if they need it.
“We put the financial well-being of our consumers at the heart of everything we do. We are grateful to join the Financial Health Network’s vision and to help move this common purpose forward through consumer engagement, industry activism, and innovation,” said David Sykes, Head of the U.S. at Klarna.
The Financial Health Network works with various financial organizations in the U.S. across a broad spectrum of financial services, insurance, education, and more, advising companies in their efforts to improve the financial health of their customers, employees, and communities. The organization acts as a trusted resource for business leaders, policymakers, and innovators united in a mission to improve the financial health of their customers, employees, and communities.
“We are excited to welcome Klarna as a Member of the Financial Health Network. Improving consumer financial health requires collaboration from across the financial services industry, and we believe Klarna’s expertise will be an important part of this effort,” said Andrea Galvez, senior director, Financial Health Network.
Recently, Klarna integrated Google Pay, extending contactless payment options for in-store payments.
