KienlongBank After an implementation process of over six months, KienlongBank officially announced the successful upgrade of the new core card system – SmartVista. This is an important step for the bank, helping to improve the experience of its customers and diversify modern card products and services.

The upgraded card system would help to improve security capabilities and develop a number of valuable features and utilities. KienlongBank transformed the core card system across all channels simultaneously: management of domestic cards, international cards (Visa, JCB); new implementation of MasterCard; management of domestic and international card transactions; ATM/POS/STM system management.

KienlongBank’s new core card system was developed based on the SmartVista product suite, customised to the bank’s unique requirements. The advantage of the SmartVista system is that it manages and responds to any sudden increase in the number of customers and transactions, managing all of the bank’s ATM/POS/STM and card systems. Thanks to the link between the card system and the bank’s electronic payment channels, the system will deliver a better cardholder experience and make online transactions easier and more convenient for them.

The conversion of the card system meets all the requirements of integrated connection from other banking systems, such as Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, and Core Banking. It offers optimal support for the development of card products, connection channels, and payment intermediaries. In particular, with its modern and flexible structure, the new system can enhance KienlongBank’s management process, minimise warranty and maintenance costs, and be easily customised to suit the needs of all types of customers.

With the successful conversion and use of a modern card management system, KienlongBank has officially applied modern technology applications according to international standards. This new system promotes security, being authenticated by PA-DSS, and ensures standards on card data security and safety such as the PCI-DSS of international card organisations: Visa/MasterCard/JCB. With the new 3D Secure technology (the high-security technology that uses a secure one-time password (OTP)), card transactions can take place with enhanced security and safety, and the risk of fake transactions is minimised.
