KEO Capital has expanded into the Canadian market through its newly established subsidiary, Workeo Canada, supported by a revolving senior loan facility of up to $50 million from a leading Canadian bank. The move has strengthened the company’s presence in North America and extends its blockchain-powered B2B payments and supply chain finance platform to Canadian businesses.

Roberto Marchiori, Chief Executive Officer of KEO Capital, said: “Launching KEO Capital’s operations in Canada marks an important milestone in the roll-out of our Workeo platform. Establishing a foothold in such an important, dynamic market enables us to provide local-currency payment solutions to help more businesses improve cash flow, strengthen supplier relationships and manage payments.”

Headquartered in Toronto, Workeo Canada will provide businesses with access to working capital, digital payment capabilities and supply chain financing through a single platform. The expansion was built on KEO Capital’s operations in Latin America, where it has operated since 2020.

The Workeo platform has enabled businesses to apply for financing and, once approved, access a revolving credit facility that allows them to extend payment terms for supplier invoices and operating expenses. At the same time, suppliers can receive payments sooner, helping improve liquidity and strengthen cash flow across the supply chain.

The platform has used blockchain technology to facilitate secure, transparent and near-instant B2B payment execution while supporting local currency transactions. It is designed for mid-market and enterprise customers across sectors including manufacturing, construction, logistics, wholesale distribution, healthcare, professional services and retail.

Workeo Canada’s services will initially be available in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and the Atlantic provinces, subject to regulatory requirements. The company said the expansion has reflected its strategy to broaden access to digital working capital solutions and modernise B2B payments across new markets.
