Kaspi.kz, Alipay+ launch cross-border QR payments in Kazakhstan

Kaspi.kz, has integrated Alipay+, introducing seamless cross-border QR-based payments in Kazakhstan. This development positions the country as a pioneer in Central Asia, enabling inbound travellers from around the world to make purchases effortlessly using their preferred mobile wallets.
The integration allows users of 12 Alipay+-enabled e-wallets to pay directly via Kaspi’s QR technology. The solution is fully embedded within the Kaspi.kz Super App for consumers and the Kaspi Pay Super App for merchants, both of which combine payments, marketplace, and FinTech capabilities in a single digital ecosystem. This dual-app approach reflects Kaspi’s commitment to meeting the needs of both customers and merchants with equal efficiency, scalability, and security.
For international visitors, including growing numbers from China, Germany, and South Korea, the service brings a fast, familiar, and frictionless payment experience. Travellers can simply scan a Kaspi QR code and pay in their currency using their trusted mobile wallet, eliminating the need for currency exchange or additional payment steps. For local merchants, the integration expands potential customer reach and revenue opportunities by making their businesses accessible to mobile-savvy global consumers.
