JMR Infotech has deployed the Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Financial Crime and Compliance Management (OFSAA FCCM) platform at Cooperative Bank of Oromia (Coopbank), to enhance the bank’s compliance modernisation journey.

This milestone positions Coopbank at the forefront of Ethiopia’s financial sector transformation, enabling the bank to operate on a robust, enterprise-wide compliance infrastructure that delivers advanced anti-money laundering (AML) controls, real-time risk analytics, and strengthened regulatory alignment. The implementation reinforces Coopbank’s commitment to building a secure, transparent, and digitally resilient banking environment, aligned with its long-term growth strategy.

As part of the initiative, JMR Infotech and Coopbank successfully migrated and validated over 14 million customer records, laying the groundwork for a future-ready fraud detection and risk monitoring framework. The implementation equips Coopbank with a dynamic platform to identify, manage, and mitigate financial crime risks at scale while improving operational integrity and customer trust.

The initiative underscores JMR Infotech’s strategic focus on delivering intelligent, cloud-ready, and Shariah-aligned solutions that help financial institutions navigate increasingly complex compliance environments. By integrating Oracle’s best-in-class FCCM suite with Coopbank’s operational architecture, the project also future-proofs the bank’s compliance capabilities against evolving global regulatory standards.

Looking ahead, JMR Infotech continues to support Coopbank with a digital transformation roadmap centred on resilience, scalability, and customer-centric innovation. The collaboration reflects a broader industry shift towards data-driven, AI-enabled compliance solutions that empower banks to stay ahead of risk while deepening customer confidence.

Jayafar Moidu, Founder & CEO of JMR Infotech, said, “This go-live represents more than a successful deployment it is a powerful example of how strategic partnerships can reshape compliance landscapes. Coopbank’s vision, Oracle’s innovation, and JMR Infotech’s execution excellence came together to create a scalable solution that not only strengthens AML and risk capabilities today, but also supports the bank’s digital evolution for tomorrow. We’re proud to contribute to Coopbank’s mission of building a more resilient and trusted financial ecosystem.”
