Jax Federal Credit Union, a federally insured, member-owned, not-for-profit financial co-op that returns revenues, after operating expenses, to its members has announced the appointment of Jenna Dobbins to its Board of Directors, re-elected 3 of its current Directors and appointed a member representative, Senovia Portis.

Dobbins is the Global Head of Human Resources for Pontoon Solutions, a global HR outsourcing company, as well as a double graduate of Jacksonville University with multiple years of HR industry experience. She has participated in several industry organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management, Jacksonville Chapter, and was named by the HR Florida State Council as “Volunteer of the Year” in 2014.

Besides Dobbins’s appointment, the CUn’s members approved board-appointment Rodomir Desir. Both Dobbins and Desir fill retiring director seats with terms ending in 2022 September. Incumbents, Joseph W. Sharp and Pat O’Neill were re-elected as board members for 3-year term. Senovia Portis will serve as a member representative, a non-elected role.

“Strong leadership is essential to the success of any credit union, and our ability to navigate the challenges of 2020 is a direct reflection of our exemplary Board of Directors. We look forward to welcoming Jenna and Synovia in their new roles, and continuing to work alongside our newly re-elected Directors who have worked so hard on behalf of our membership,” said Mary Svoboda, Interim President and CEO of Jax Federal Credit Union.

Established since 1935, Jax Federal Credit Union is Federally Insured by the National Credit Union Administration. The CU provides financial solutions such as loans, investment, savings, credit and debit cards, online banking, and other related services.
