iProov, NorthRow partner to improve customer due diligence
By Sunniva Kolostyak
Biometric authentication provider iProov has joined forces with RegTech specialist NorthRow in a move to expand its partner network and extend its identity services to property, professional services and FinTech sectors.
NorthRow has integrated iProov’s facial verification technology Flashmark to its RemoteVerify solution in order to provide a Genuine Presence Assurance check to its customers in a compliant onboarding experience.
According to Andrew Bud, Founder and CEO of iProov, the tech will enable NorthRow to offer regulated businesses the opportunity to verify individuals in an environment where cybercrime is an increasing threat.
“The pandemic has proved beyond doubt that being able to verify customer identity online is not an optional extra or nice-to-have – it’s essential. The key is to make it simple and secure,” Bud said.
“By adding Genuine Presence Assurance to its platform, NorthRow further enhances its great user experience and enables regulated businesses to know that each individual is the right person, a real person, and that they are genuinely present right now. As online criminal activity and large-scale spoof attacks threaten organisations such as accountants, estate agents, and solicitors, they will need this more than ever.”
Organisations will be able to comply with anti-money laundering regulations while onboarding customers and processing transactions remotely. The technology simplifies the process and strengthens protection against sophisticated criminal attacks.
Adrian Black, CEO of NorthRow, said: “NorthRow is delighted to be collaborating with iProov, adding market-leading Flashmark facial verification technology to our RemoteVerify solution. The NorthRow-iProov partnership is a powerful combination that allows us to deliver the world’s best remote onboarding solution.”
Its customer base includes building societies, FinTechs, estate agents and employee onboarding providers, who use NorthRow to comply with KYC and regulation to eliminate financial crime.
