Vested Finance, an online investment platform that enables Indian investors to invest in the US stock market, saw its total investments in the US markets from India grew by 20% month-on-month in May 2020. The platform registered a 30% growth in the number of people who have transferred USD into their accounts for the first time.

Currently, the company is witnessing strong growth among the NRI segment. 10% of their current user base are NRIs, according to a company release. The California and Mumbai-based FinTech aims to push this number to 20% by the end of 2020. The company currently serves NRIs from 60 different countries.

Viram Shah, CEO, and Co-Founder, Vested Finance said, “There is a strong interest in geographic diversification from Indians across the globe. They are seeing the value of investing in US stocks and have started actively tracking global equities and have become global investors.”

“In June, we are seeing our fastest ever growth wherein the total amount of deposits in 15 days has already crossed all of May. We witnessed a 2x increase in deposits in the month of June compared to March and a 10x increase in our AUM over the period of the past nine months,” Shah added.

In today`s world, global companies cannot have a global presence without having a sizeable presence in India. The observations have indicated that more and more international companies are seeing the potential to invest in India, garnering interest among Indian investors to invest in those companies.

Investors across the world have now increasingly started taking into consideration the non-financial impact of companies that they invest in, the company said adding that Vested Finance has seen an entering trend in ESG investing. Today ESG investing is estimated at over $20 trillion in AUM or a quarter of all professionally managed assets around the world. It started with a few ESG specialist firms that have now become so extensive that nearly every reputed asset management company has multiple ESG funds. There is a total of 350 ESG funds and ETFs available in the US.
