Why does it matter: The acquisition reflects a growing trend toward platform consolidation in WealthTech and adviser technology. By combining investment research, financial planning, client data and compliance workflows within a single ecosystem, intelliflo is reducing operational friction for advisers while improving efficiency and oversight.

intelliflo, a UK-based provider of financial advice software, acquired Mabel Insights, integrating the firm’s research, portfolio analysis and financial planning capabilities into intelliflo office. The acquisition was completed on 30 September 2026, with Mabel Insights remaining free for advisers.

Mabel Insights operates one of the UK’s freely accessible databases for managed portfolio services, covering more than 80 asset managers and discretionary fund managers alongside over 3,000 risk-rated portfolios across managed portfolio and multi-asset solutions.

Nick Eatock, CEO and co-founder of intelliflo, said, “We’ve partnered with Mabel since 2024 and watched advisers come to depend on it as one of the most important research and planning businesses in the advice market. As part of intelliflo, we can invest further in Mabel’s functionality and embed it into intelliflo office, giving advisers whole-of-market research and due diligence as a core workflow rather than a separate exercise. It remains free to advisers and strengthens our open, intelligent platform for financial advice.”

The platform combines portfolio comparison and analysis with cashflow modelling, risk profiling and digital fact-find capabilities, enabling advisers to research investments, model client outcomes and generate branded recommendation reports from a single environment.

Lawrence Cook, CEO of Mabel Insights, said, “We built Mabel Insights to make high-quality research and planning accessible to every adviser. Our integration with intelliflo showed us how much further that could go when the tools sit inside the system advisers work all day.”

Prior to the acquisition, Mabel Insights was already integrated with intelliflo office, allowing advisers to transfer client data and portfolio information between systems without manual rekeying, conduct market-wide research and due diligence, and incorporate findings directly into existing workflows.

intelliflo said the acquisition will allow it to further develop Mabel’s capabilities and deepen integration across its platform, supporting its strategy of reducing the cost of delivering financial advice while improving quality, consistency and regulatory compliance.
