A web-to-wallet enables users to instantly add their digital Visa prepaid cards from a website directly to Apple and Google Wallet without the need to download a third-party app.

Delivered exclusively by True Rewards, part of the iGoDirect Group, Web-to-Wallet delivers a frictionless customer experience leveraging the security of Apple and Android technology.

With a few clicks and in less than a minute, users can add a digital prepaid card straight to Apple Pay or Google Pay from an email, website, or SMS. This means users no longer need to download a new app to activate a gift card, something that all gift card providers require users to do today.

Web-to-Wallet’s inception is backed by the acceleration of mobile wallet usage post-pandemic and consumers’ preference for instant, digital payments. According to the Australian Banking Association, one in two Australian smartphone users say they have used their mobile phone to make a purchase in-store, in-app or on a website. Mobile wallet payments totalled $126 billion in FY2023, skyrocketing by 35% from the previous year.

Pat Dalton, Founder and COO of iGoDirect, shared, “This is a massive milestone for iGoDirect and what we believe to be a game-changer in gift card deployment. Our mission has always been to make it easier and faster for companies to reward their customers and employees. The launch of Web-to-Wallet demonstrates our commitment to innovate and differentiate from the market. This announcement, coupled with our Visa Principal Member Issuing licence and securing an AFSL, truly differentiates iGoDirect’s status as a market category leader.”

Available in True Rewards, new and existing businesses will be able to send digital Visa gift cards with a vastly improved customer experience.

Companies can also integrate their brand into their rewards journey, from customising the user interface to digital Visa cards to enhancing their rewards and loyalty programs, cashback, sweepstakes and other consumer promotions.
