Iglu enhances booking payment experience with Trust Payments
By Gloria Methri
Trust Payments has teamed up with Iglu, the UK-based cruise and ski retailer, to transform the booking payment experience for its customers.
Iglu was created in September 1998 by Richard Downs from a small office in Baker Street and launched its first website at the Ski Show in London Olympia in October of that year. Until then, ski holidays were marketed and sold via high street shops, Teletext, and classified ads.
In 2023, its 25th year since inception, Iglu joined hands with Trust Payments to invest in technology, grow further as a business, and expand into international markets.
Under the partnership, Trust Payments will power booking payments for Iglu Ski, Cruise and Planet Cruise, using its wide range of payment methods, intelligent risk mitigation tools and a platform that streamlines bookings at a transactional level. This includes helping process funds from across the UK, EEA, and the US with support for other currencies and foreign exchange options.
Craig Brightly, Global Director of Sales, Trust Payments said, “We are thrilled that Iglu has put their faith in our company to transform the booking payment experience of its customers in their 25th year. They are true pioneers of forward-thinking, creativity and innovation and we are delighted to be helping them continue that momentum moving forward.”
Richard Downs, Founder and Chairman of Iglu added, “We are delighted to be working with Trust Payments to enhance our customers’ payment experience and bring business efficiencies. Their innovations will help Iglu to continue to be the largest retailer of ski and cruise holidays in the UK and ensure we deliver excellent booking experiences to our valued customers.”
