Companies can offer this card to their employees.

The new credit card will be for personal use and will integrate the employers’ perks with leading credit card benefits and exclusive dining and lifestyle rewards. It will also make it easier for employees to submit expense reimbursements. Hypercard is co-founded by Marc Baghadjian and Nikolas Ioannou, who lead with a design-first, entrepreneurial mindset.

“Employees can miss out on incredible work perks—gym memberships, meal stipends, and transportation reimbursement—simply because they are unaware of these benefits or they are inconvenient to use,” said Marc Baghadjian, CEO of Hypercard. “Employees will have the option to get a personal credit card from their employer that makes it easy to use their company benefits, with a slew of other rewards layered into the card.”

Hypercard signed an agreement to issue cards on the American Express network in the U.S., and Deserve will act as the program manager. Celtic Bank is the official card issuer. As a new entrant in the payments market, Hypercard is backed by Open AI CEO Sam Altman, former Mastercard CEO Gene Lockhart, Netflix Co-founder Mark Randolph, One Medical founder Tom Lee, and others.

“FinTechs like Hypercard are tapping into the American Express network as an innovation hub,” said William Stredwick, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Network Services North America, American Express. “We look forward to giving Hypercard’s customers access to benefits like Amex Offers and the security of our global payments network.”

Cardmembers will be able to take advantage of integrated perks from their employers along with the following rewards and perks:

  • Lifestyle perks, such as complimentary Priority Pass Lounge Membership and TSA PreCheck®
  • Wellness perks, such as statement credits for BetterHelp and ClassPass
  • Travel perks, such as statement credits for purchases of Blade’s Airport Pass and Wander bookings
