Huawei Cloud has reinforced its commitment to Egypt’s financial services sector, showcasing new cloud, artificial intelligence and security capabilities aimed at accelerating digital transformation across the country’s FinTech ecosystem.
At the Huawei Cloud Fintech Summit 2026 in Cairo, the company brought together financial institutions, FinTech firms, technology partners and industry stakeholders to explore how cloud infrastructure and AI can support innovation, operational resilience and regulatory compliance within the sector.
According to Huawei Cloud, Egypt’s financial services industry is experiencing growing demand for scalable and secure digital infrastructure. The company highlighted its local cloud region, launched in Egypt in 2024, as a key enabler for organisations seeking low-latency services, enhanced data sovereignty and localised support.
Jo Xu, CEO of Huawei Cloud Egypt, said, “Egypt’s FinTech sector is entering a new phase of growth driven by digital innovation and customer expectations. Huawei Cloud is committed to providing secure, intelligent and locally supported cloud services that help financial institutions innovate faster while meeting regulatory requirements.”
The summit featured discussions on cloud security, compliance and business continuity, with sessions covering multi-cloud disaster recovery, landing zone frameworks and security architectures tailored for regulated financial environments.
Huawei Cloud also outlined its approach to supporting FinTech startups and emerging financial services providers. The company said its cloud offerings are designed to help organisations accelerate deployment, optimise costs and strengthen compliance capabilities while scaling their operations.
The event included customer and partner case studies demonstrating cloud adoption across the financial sector. Huawei Cloud highlighted the migration of Evolve Investment Holding’s GNT and MNGM trading platform, which it said was completed with near-zero downtime. Technology partner JATDEV also presented solutions aimed at supporting digital financial services.
A panel discussion featuring representatives from Thndr, Evolve Investment Holding and Souhoola examined opportunities for FinTech growth in Egypt, focusing on cloud adoption, AI integration and market expansion.
Huawei Cloud said it will continue collaborating with financial institutions, FinTech companies and ecosystem partners to support the development of Egypt’s digital economy through secure and AI-enabled cloud services.
