HSBCHSBC announced the appointment of Mark Evans as Global Head of Cross Border and Cross Currency Payments. In this role, Mark will have responsibility for managing the bank’s global clearing business, global disbursement solutions and its FX-based solutions.

Mark has been with HSBC for over 25 years holding a number of roles in both the UK and Latin America. In his most recent role as MD Payments Advisory he has been responsible for HSBC’s cross border FX payment services, including traditional international payments, embedded FX and our multi-currency payment proposition. Previously he ran a programme to implement commercial and corporate digital cash management services across Latin America, and was one of the founding members of the team who developed HSBCnet and HSBC Connect.

Mark’s role is critical for how it defines and drives global innovation within the core cross-border and cross-currency solution set, and serves the growing international payment needs of digital companies. This includes how  HSBC develops specific commercialization activities and creates tools to support sales and client service teams in educating and marketing of its global payment product capabilities.

Mark will report directly to Manish Kohli, Global Head of GLCM, based in London, and joins the GLCM Executive Committee.
