Swiss FinTech startup Helvo has launched the beta version of its integrated banking and financial operating platform for small and medium-sized enterprises across Switzerland, marking a step towards simplifying financial management for businesses through a single digital environment.

Headquartered in Crissier, Helvo has developed the platform in partnership with Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, which has provided the regulated banking infrastructure underpinning the solution. The platform has combined banking services with financial management tools, enabling SMEs to manage payments, invoicing, bookkeeping and reporting from a unified interface.

The launch has followed several months of testing with a group of alpha-phase customers operating real businesses across Switzerland. Feedback gathered during the testing period has helped shape the platform’s functionality and user experience ahead of the beta rollout.

According to Helvo, the platform has been designed to address the administrative burden faced by many Swiss SMEs that continue to rely on multiple disconnected systems and manual processes for financial operations. By connecting banking activities directly with accounting and reporting workflows, the company has sought to reduce manual reconciliation and improve operational efficiency.

Julien Barbotin-Larrieu, Chief Executive Officer of Helvo, said: “Switzerland is home to one of the world’s most established banking sectors, yet many Swiss SMEs still spend hours every week managing financial admin across disconnected tools, spreadsheets, and manual processes. Helvo was created to solve that problem by building a financial operating system for Swiss SMEs, bringing core financial and banking workflows into one integrated platform.”

The company has noted that more than 99% of Swiss businesses are SMEs, accounting for around two-thirds of employment nationwide. Helvo has positioned the platform as a solution that provides founders with greater financial visibility while reducing administrative complexity.

The beta programme has opened to a limited group of participants across Switzerland, with further expansion expected following the testing phase.
