gohenry, the money and debit card solution for 6-18-year-olds, has partnered with Decision Tech to launch Switch & Save, a feature that could help families save on their utilities and telecoms bills.

gohenry offers a prepaid Visa debit card and app with parental control to help teach children financial literacy, and the FinTech is now looking to help families save on bills to improve the UK’s overall financial fitness.

gohenryBy partnering with Decision Tech, a MoneySuperMarket Group product, gohenry is launching a switching feature which allows parents to compare deals on energy, broadband, TV and mobile from a comprehensive range of suppliers and exclusive tariffs and deals, including established and lesser-known brands.

The Switch & Save feature also enables families to filter their search by green energy providers. Searching out providers with the best customer service will also be made easy, by enabling customers to check Trustpilot scores in their personalised list of quotes, while those already on a good deal can set a personalised savings alert so they know as soon as they can save even more.

gohenry’s co-founder and COO Louise Hill said she hopes the update will encourage families to continue having open conversations at home about money.

She commented: “One of the first steps to financial stability is to review regular household spending to see where savings can be made. Our new partnership with Decision Tech makes it easier for families to make smart financial decisions, while also unlocking savings at a time when many are looking for budgeting ideas.”

Also commenting, Jonty Mogford, Strategic Partnership Director at Decision Tech, said: “gohenry’s large family customer base allows Decision Tech to take switching to a new audience, helping parents teach their children the importance of healthy financial habits. The introduction of gohenry’s Switch & Save feature to its parent app will simplify the switching process and ensure they have access to great deals and savings.”

With the move towards a cashless society accelerating and millions experiencing economic uncertainty, gohenry is helping children and their parents manage money better in a changing era. The Decision Tech partnership announcement comes after a successful year for gohenry, with the company exceeding one million customers worldwide and launching two new products – the Eco Card and Teen account – to cater for its growing and diverse audience.
