Gala Technology has partnered with Ampersand Hotel and Worldpay to enhance the hotel’s digital payment experience. By integrating SOTpay, a cloud-based Pay by Link solution, the hotel is setting a new benchmark for secure and seamless payment processes in the luxury hospitality sector.
For many luxury hotels, the complexities of handling card-not-present payments have long created hidden friction behind the scenes. High transaction fees, the administrative burden of manual processing, exposure to fraud-related chargebacks, and the demands of PCI DSS compliance have historically challenged even the most secure operations. Recognising that modern travellers expect convenience and trust in every interaction, The Ampersand Hotel took decisive steps to modernise its payment infrastructure.
Through SOTpay, guests now receive a secure, branded payment link by email or SMS, enabling them to settle transactions from any location with ease and confidence. Payments are automatically reconciled within the Opera Property Management System, removing the need for hotel staff to handle sensitive card details. This integrated approach has significantly reduced operational risk and freed staff to focus on what defines The Ampersand: exceptional, personalised service.
