G.H. Financials deploys Baton to streamline liquidity management

G.H. Financials has deployed Baton Systems’ intraday liquidity management platform to consolidate real-time visibility of cash balances, margin requirements and collateral, supporting faster funding decisions as the clearing firm expands its global operations.
Kieran O’Regan, Chief Financial Officer at G.H. Financials, said: “Having a consolidated, near real-time view of our cash positions and margin requirements across every account, currency and legal entity has significantly improved our liquidity management. We can now make confident funding decisions faster and more accurately anticipate and proactively address upcoming liquidity needs.”
The deployment has combined Baton’s Balance Manager and Exposure Manager capabilities to provide a unified near real-time view of more than 100 nostro, central counterparty (CCP) and carry broker accounts spanning 17 currencies, multiple legal entities and time zones. The implementation was completed within eight weeks, with account connectivity and visibility having been established across the firm’s global network.
The platform has brought together cash balances, initial and variation margin requirements, pledged collateral and excess or deficit positions that was previously aggregated across multiple systems.
Arjun Jayaram, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Baton Systems, said: “The solution we delivered to G.H. Financials uses the same core institutional-grade infrastructure we deploy at G-SIBs, extended to meet the needs of a non-bank FCM operating at serious scale.”
The solution has also extracted detailed balance and transaction data from SWIFT messages, enabling payments and receipts to have been monitored with enhanced precision through near real-time status updates. Historical intraday and end-of-day information was made available to support liquidity forecasting and stress testing.
The deployment has positioned G.H. Financials to support future growth, with the platform having been designed to scale across additional venues, currencies and tokenised asset workflows as institutional market infrastructure continues to evolve.
