Flutterwave appoints Gurbhej Dhillon as Chief Technical Officer

Flutterwave, Africa, Transact, Tiger Global, Flutterwave Market, Send, PayPal, Central Bank of Nigeria, Digital Payments, USAFlutterwave, one of Africa’s largest payments technology companies, announced the appointment of former Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Officer Gurbhej Dhillon as Chief Technical Officer.

As the new CTO, Gurbhej Dhillon will be responsible for the development of Flutterwave’s innovative technology platform, which currently enables the integration of key technology partners such as VISA, Mastercard, Discover Card Networks and customers like Uber, Flywire, Booking.com, etc. He will focus on improving architecture and infrastructure and lead other technical and product managers to create the best solutions to support the company’s growth in customer service.

Gurbhej joins Flutterwave from Marcus by Goldman Sachs, where he was CTO and Chief Financial Engineering Officer. He has extensive experience in enterprise application architecture across financial and consumer services. At Marcus, he was responsible for launching platforms to help businesses grow while improving the customer experience and established strategic partnerships with several Fortune 500 companies.

Previously, Dhillon was a CTO in the Capital Markets Investment Banking team at Goldman Sachs, responsible for the design, architecture and development of strategic platforms for clients to execute equity and debt product offerings.

Gurbhej Dhillon is a great advocate for the developer community in Africa and admires the work they have done in recent times, building creative solutions of international level. In his role as CTO at Africa’s leading technology company, Gurbhej Dhillon hopes to help the community reach higher levels.
