Flash, an Egypt-based FinTech, has announced the completion of $6 million Seed funding round to revolutionise cashless payments.
The funding round was supported and backed by some of the global investors in the FinTech space – Addition and Flourish, alongside many local and global angel investors.
Erik Gordon, Founder & CEO of Flash, said, ” We are backed by equally ambitious institutions sharing the same goal, namely our partner bank, Banque Misr and the Central Bank of Egypt, whose approval we took to launch. One of the most rewarding parts of the job is the support we get from others in the ecosystem – whether it’s other FinTechs, businesses & startups or early adopting users looking for a smarter way to pay for everyday things. ”
Flash is a cashless payment app to help individuals and businesses make & receive seamless payments. The App makes it easier, safer, and faster for everyone to make purchases with their phones. Individuals can add any existing bank card or digital wallet and purchase by scanning a QR code.
Sherine Kabesh, Co-Founder & Head of Marketing & Partnerships Flash, said, “We founded Flash with a vision to improve people’s financial well-being in Egypt. The real work, impact and excitement are ahead of us. It grows day by day. A great product is surely not built overnight. We have the best team behind it. We surely have much to learn, and we’d love your support.”
