Fidesmo has entered into a partnership with Sweden-based Länsförsäkringar Bank. According to the company, the collaboration will enable the bank’s customers to use the payment service Fidesmo Pay to tokenize Länsförsäkringar cards onto a variety of wearables. Customers will now be able to use bracelets, key rings, watches and watch straps, and other form factors as a means of payment, to tap and pay on any contactless terminal. Paying with a wearable will bring the same benefits as paying with a physical payment card.
“We are happy to see that more and more banks offer tokenized payments to their customers, and wearable payments being one of them. We are looking forward to expanding the Fidesmo Pay offering in the Swedish market together with Länsförsäkringar, said Mattias Eld, CEO of Fidesmo.
Sweden-based technology company, Fidesmo, provides a streamlined integration process for manufacturers to add contactless services to their devices and for contactless service providers to distribute their services without any hardware overhead to many devices.
Recently, Fidesmo Pay announced its expansion in Europe with a new collaboration with Cembra in Switzerland. Cembra, a Swiss provider of consumer finance products, will be able to allow its customers to connect their cards to a wearable with support for Fidesmo Pay.
