Expleo, Bank of Palestine Partner to Build Tech Talent
By Milan Rojan
Expleo has partnered with Intersect Innovation Hub, a non-profit business incubator backed by Bank of Palestine, to strengthen Palestine’s technology talent pipeline and support digital transformation across the Middle East.
Phani Tangirala, Managing Director – India at Expleo, said: “At its core, this partnership is about people: creating opportunities, building talent, and connecting it to work that matters. Together, we are building systems that open up real, global-scale work for Palestine’s next generation of engineers.”
The partnership was designed to bridge the gap between academic education and industry requirements by equipping Palestinian graduates with practical technology skills and preparing them for projects across banking, financial services and other technology-driven sectors.
Under the collaboration, Expleo and Intersect will work with Palestinian universities to develop industry-aligned technology coursework that reflects evolving employer needs. The initiative has aimed to enable graduates to contribute to live projects from the outset while reducing the time organisations typically spend on onboarding and technical training.
Mahmoud Shawa, Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Palestine, said: “This partnership represents a strategic milestone in our journey towards building global partnerships that deliver sustainable impact for Palestinian youth. Through Intersect, we are connecting Palestinian talent with the global economy and creating opportunities for engineers and entrepreneurs to work on international projects.”
The programme will focus on three key areas: talent development and deployment, academic collaboration and innovation. Graduates will be prepared to support Expleo’s operations in Palestine and participate remotely in client engagements across the Middle East.
The partnership has reflected growing collaboration between financial institutions, technology providers and academia to develop skilled digital workforces capable of supporting regional innovation and long-term economic growth.
