Entersekt, a mobile-first FinTech solutions innovator, has announced that the company has partnered with NuData Security, a Mastercard company, to seamlessly integrate NuData’s behavior analysis solution NuDetect into the Entersekt Secure Platform.

NuDetect leverages device and behavioral data to distinguish legitimate users from high-risk users in real-time, enabling real account holders to perform transactions without unnecessary hindrances from security barriers. In cases where a higher level of security is needed, a more complex authentication process is triggered. The latter can take the form of an in-app push prompt, a FIDO-certified security key, or one of the options offered by Entersekt.

“NuDetect complements Entersekt’s strong device ID with an inherent factor that seamlessly links people to the device and brings a new dimension to our rule-compliant suite for strong authentication. By combining our leading technologies, we are opening up new ways to eliminate friction for users who interact online, on the web, or on mobile devices. This combination is unique in the market for ease of use and security, and represents another exciting step forward in our mission to make the digital world safer and more user-friendly,” said Dewald Nolte, Chief Strategy Officer of Entersekt.

The Entersekt Secure Platform is based on a multiple patented authentication and device security technology and forms a secure basis for the introduction of innovative new digital banking and payment services. The focus of the system is the device ID based on digital certificates for seamlessly transforming mobile applications and desktop browsers into rule-compliant secondary authentication factors.

“The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in many consumers shopping more online in the first half of this year. During this period, our analysts observed a 500% increase in the number of fraudulent account openings alone, underscoring the need to use cutting-edge technology that differentiates between legitimate users and fraudulent actors. By expanding the Entersekt Secure Platform to include behavioral analyzes, we are offering an additional level of protection while reducing friction and improving the customer experience,” said Michelle Hafner, Senior Vice President, NuData Security.

NuDetect helps minimize friction and scrutinize legitimate users throughout the process. The functionality is available to all financial institutions that use the Entersekt Secure Platform, regardless of their affiliation with a card brand.

Established since 2008, NuData Security is a Mastercard Company. Its technology identifies users based on their online interactions, which cannot be replicated by a third party. The company was acquired by Mastercard in 2017 to integrate its intelligence into their suite of fraud management and security solutions to protect and innovate the digital space.
