Efma appoints Allianz Partners exec Jean-Marc Pailhol as the new Chairman

Paris-based Efma announced the nomination of Jean-Marc Pailhol as the new Chairman. He will be replacing Yolande Piazza, formerly of Citi FinTech and now VP Financial Services, Google Cloud, Board of Directors H&R Block.

Jean-Marc Pailhol, Chairman of Efma said, “I look forward to starting my tenure as chairman at Efma. With its 120 financial group members in 133 countries, the organization is ideally placed at the center of innovation, customers, and financial services. Efma can and should play a major role in understanding the tremendous challenges the financial industry will have to face in the near future, and support and facilitate this major transformation”.

Pailhol joined Allianz in 2009 as Head of Distribution and a board member of Allianz France. He has led the tied agents, brokers and salary salesforce networks to optimize their efficiency and productivity selling all lines of business for six years. He took the position of Head of Group market management in 2016 in charge of Allianz Brand awareness and reputation, marketing partnerships, customer experience, and sales methodology. Since January 2020, he has been Head of Global Strategic Partnerships and a board member of Allianz Partners.

The new Chairman had around 21 years of experience in the banking sector, before joining Allianz.

Efma is headquartered in Paris and has offices in London, Brussels, Andorra, Milan, Stockholm, Bratislava, Warsaw, Moscow, Istanbul, Beirut, Dubai, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney and Montreal.
