By Vriti Gothi
e-Tax, a subsidiary of e-finance for Financial and Digital Investments, has received a contract from Egypt’s Ministry of Finance to develop and operate a next-generation digital platform for managing electronic invoice and receipt cases.
This strategic initiative is part of the Egyptian government’s broader agenda to accelerate the digital transformation of the national tax system, reinforcing transparency, operational agility, and data-led governance. The new Case Management platform will serve as a cornerstone in modernising tax administration, enabling real-time monitoring of tax cases, optimising revenue collection, and elevating compliance standards across the country.
Designed to harness the power of advanced analytics and intelligent automation, the platform will support the timely identification of high-priority cases, enable faster and more informed decision-making, and provide actionable insights for tax policy implementation. By strengthening the digital backbone of Egypt’s tax infrastructure, the solution is expected to deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency, accountability, and fiscal performance.
Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman of e-finance, said, “This new contract with the Ministry of Finance marks a strategic step in our ongoing efforts to position e-finance as a leading enabler of Egypt’s digital economy. The Case Management platform represents a significant value-added service within the digital tax ecosystem, enhancing revenue collection efficiency and improving taxpayer compliance, ultimately contributing to stronger performance and long-term shareholder value.”
Khaled Abdel Ghany, Managing Director of e-Tax, said, “Winning this project is a strong endorsement of our technological and operational capabilities. It opens up a new, sustainable revenue stream through advanced GovTech services and strengthens our portfolio with high-impact sovereign clients.”
As a joint venture between the Ministry of Finance and e-finance, e-Tax has played a central role in Egypt’s tax digitalisation efforts. Its mandate includes delivering large-scale, mission-critical technology projects that support the evolution of a secure, efficient, and inclusive tax administration model.
This latest milestone underscores e-Tax’s position as a trusted digital transformation partner to the Egyptian government, further advancing the country’s vision of a fully digitised, transparent, and citizen-centric financial system.
