Cobis Topaz bags IBSi’s ‘Most impactful Open Banking project’ award

COBIS Inclusion core by Cobis Topaz, provider of cloud finance solutions, and leader in Latin America, received the “Most innovative API/ Open Banking as the most impactful project” award at the fourth edition of the IBSi Global FinTech Innovation Awards 2022.
Nikhil Gokhale, Head of Research at IBS Intelligence, said that “Cobis Topaz implemented COBIS Inclusion, its main core banking solution designed for credit unions and microfinance institutions like RappiPay, the financial vertical of Rappi, a Latin American super application.”
“The implementation is giving Rappi the ability to operate and deliver digital financial products to customers. The solution is completely cloud-native, where each of its components is developed within AWS cloud technology making it quickly scalable.”
These awards recognize the main technological players who excel in banking innovation through emerging technologies, evaluating 151 nominations in 94 banks from 47 countries in 30 categories worldwide.
This allows a 360-degree transformation of the financial institution, which currently operates in nine countries in Latin America: Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil in more than 250 cities.
The adoption of this flexible core has been key to integrating a single platform with access to multiple financial services, which profiles the platform as the best-positioned super application in the region, capable of optimizing the customer experience and facilitating access to digital payment ecosystems.
