In response to the accelerating digitisation of India’s financial services landscape, CA Grameen is transitioning towards a future-ready, modernised architecture designed to support operational resilience and rapid deployment of business-critical applications. Leveraging Mendix’s enterprise-grade low-code capabilities, CA Grameen has successfully developed and deployed its first digital solution an auditing application within just six months, a process that would traditionally require significantly longer development cycles.

This solution has already delivered a measurable impact. By digitising audit workflows and enabling real-time data access across its network of over 2,000 branches, CA Grameen has shortened its audit cycle from 45 days to 38 days, enhancing field productivity and enabling faster issue resolution. The cloud-based application, implemented with support from Mx Omega Technologies, consolidates critical audit insights in real-time, improving oversight and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Sudesh Puthran, Chief Technology Officer of CreditAccess Grameen, said, “Mendix has provided us a strong foundation for accelerating our digital transformation journey. As a new-generation low-code platform, it enables us to automate and digitise business processes faster, while fostering seamless collaboration between IT and business teams. At CA Grameen, our vision is to create a scalable and agile-driven organisation where technology empowers people and processes. This partnership has already delivered impact by reducing the audit cycle from 45 days to 38 days, helping boost field productivity by focusing on value-added tasks and delivering faster & more accurate reporting. Through strategic investments in technology, we are building the digital capabilities needed to drive innovation and support sustainable long-term growth.”

As India’s financial sector continues to be reshaped by policy reforms, public digital infrastructure, and an expanding fintech ecosystem, institutions like CA Grameen are strategically embracing digital platforms to future-proof their operations and improve service delivery. With over 4.5 million customers nationwide, the ability to launch new solutions quickly and at scale is essential.

Following the success of the auditing application, CA Grameen plans to expand the Mendix platform’s use to digitise other mission-critical functions, including customer onboarding, field operations, loan management, and back-office processes. These next-phase deployments will further extend the platform’s impact across the enterprise and reinforce the company’s commitment to inclusive, technology-driven financial services.

Mathew Thomas, Vice President and Managing Director for India, Siemens Digital Industries Software, said, “The rapid development and deployment of CA Grameen’s branch auditing application is a powerful testament to the transformative power of low-code in the financial sector. In a market as dynamic and competitive as India, the ability to quickly adapt, innovate, and move away from legacy, manual processes is non-negotiable for growth. Mendix provides the agility and speed needed to meet these demands, allowing financial institutions to focus on their core mission of serving customers.”

The partnership underscores CA Grameen’s ongoing investment in digital maturity and its strategic intent to blend scalable innovation with customer-centric service models. As the organisation continues to expand its digital footprint, the Mendix platform will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth and delivering meaningful financial inclusion at scale.
