BUSINESSNEXT has appointed Hitesh Sahijwaala as Head of APAC & MEA, as the banking technology provider has stepped up its regional expansion across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.

The appointment has come as financial institutions across India, the GCC, and Southeast Asia have increased their focus on AI-led transformation and autonomous operating models. BUSINESSNEXT has said Sahijwaala will oversee market expansion, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales and delivery across the two regions.

Sahijwaala has brought more than 30 years of experience in enterprise technology, BFSI software, cloud infrastructure and SaaS. He has previously held senior roles at Salesforce, Red Hat, Oracle, Hewlett-Packard, OpenText and IBM, where he has led teams and delivered business outcomes for large financial institutions and enterprise clients.

Nishant Singh, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of BUSINESSNEXT, said, “As BUSINESSNEXT scales across APAC and MEA, we needed a leader who understands both the economics of enterprise banking technology and the regulatory texture of each market. Hitesh has built businesses from the ground up and earned trust in the C-suites of the institutions we serve.”

The company has said the move has supported its push into markets where banks, insurers and non-banking financial companies have been re-structuring front and middle office operations around agentic AI. BUSINESSNEXT has positioned its autonomous banking platform as a system that connects customer intelligence with enterprise execution.

Hitesh Sahijwaala, Head of APAC & MEA at BUSINESSNEXT, said, “Financial institutions across APAC and MEA have reached a critical stage in their AI journeys. The focus has shifted from experimentation to scaling AI deployments within regulatory frameworks while delivering measurable business outcomes.”

He added that BUSINESSNEXT has built a differentiated autonomous banking platform and has looked to partner with financial services firms across the region to support the next phase of banking transformation.

The appointment has reflected BUSINESSNEXT’s continued focus on expanding its regional footprint and supporting financial institutions as they have advanced their AI and automation strategies.
