Boku has partnered with Canva to accelerate Canva’s reach in Asia and lay the groundwork for expansion into Europe. The collaboration is designed to enable millions of users to access Canva’s creative tools through trusted, locally relevant payment options, offering a powerful alternative to traditional card-linked transactions.

As the world’s preferred way to pay, Local Payment Methods are transforming how businesses connect with customers. Boku’s mission is to drive global financial access and inclusion by integrating region-specific payment solutions into the world’s most recognised digital platforms. By leveraging Boku’s extensive payments network and deep regional expertise, Canva is set to extend its services to markets where conventional banking and card penetration remain limited, ensuring more people can design, create, and collaborate without barriers.

The partnership is already delivering results. In Vietnam, Boku has successfully enabled the integration of MoMo, the country’s leading digital wallet, into Canva’s platform—marking a key step in Canva’s long-term payments strategy.

The collaboration will continue to scale in 2025, with additional system integrations planned to enhance end-user accessibility and further streamline the subscription experience.

“We are delighted to partner with Canva and help broaden access to their visual communications platform by providing more payment choices for people across Asia. Local Payments are now the world’s preferred way to pay. This partnership highlights how the world’s best-loved platforms can reach more end-users by giving people the freedom to subscribe and pay the way they want, wherever they are,” said Stuart Neal, CEO of Boku.

Through this partnership, Boku and Canva are advancing a shared vision: removing payment barriers, fostering inclusivity, and enabling more people around the world to bring their ideas to life.
