Bitfinex, Algo Trading, data, digital asset, platformexchange, api, app, bitcoin, ethereumTaipei-based Bitfinex, a digital asset trading platform, has launched Bitfinex Terminal, a real-time market data feed to power algorithmic trading, available via Dazaar.

Bitfinex Terminal allows users to backtest trading ideas and execute trading strategies. Users can also sync and share trading data and trading signals, utilising Dazaar’s peer-to-peer (P2P) network. These streaming data feeds can be cryptographically verified.

“Bitfinex Terminal has been developed to empower algorithmic traders,” said Paolo Ardoino, CTO at Bitfinex. “The delivery of this service over Dazaar’s peer-to-peer model enhances levels of scalability for a service that is free and open to all.”

“The provision of real-time market data is a natural evolution for Bitfinex as it continues to build a market leading institutional offering,” said James Banister, CEO at Market Synergy. “I am sure this latest development will be welcomed by banks, brokers and hedge funds. It is a very positive step forward.”

The first set of data available on Bitfinex Terminal offers public trade data and is free to access through GitHub. The service, which is available to everyone, is accessed by navigating to Advanced Features where the Bitfinex Terminal tab offers a link to Download Dazaar, and access to the Bitfinex Terminal. Dazaar Cards are cryptographic identifiers that facilitate easy access to the data streams.

The launch of Bitfinex Terminal on Dazaar is part of Bitfinex’s commitment to give back to the community by building blockchain-powered products that bolster crypto adoption. Dazaar is an open-source P2P protocol for data streaming, built by Dazaar Limited to deliver information sharing by enabling access for everyone.

Bitfinex has mentioned that it is leveraging its position as a one-stop-shop for crypto trading, offering a variety of services, including margin trading with up to 5x leverage.
