Bank of Sydney chooses Infosys Finacle for cloud-first digital transformation

In a significant step toward digital transformation, the bank will access the Finacle suite in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model via AWS, enabling it to scale operations dynamically and reduce technological complexity. The deployment will include Finacle’s Core Banking Solution, Digital Engagement Hub, Online and Mobile Banking, and Digital Onboarding solutions.

The collaboration aims to enhance customer and staff experiences, improve operational efficiency through automation, and simplify the bank’s IT environment to foster agility and innovation.

Key Strategic Outcomes for Bank of Sydney:
  • Accelerated TransformationThe Finacle Reference Bank offers a pre-configured, Australia-compliant framework, enabling the bank to expedite deployment and efficiently meet local regulatory needs.

  • Enhanced Customer Experience: The platform delivers consistent and intuitive self-service capabilities across online and mobile channels, aligning with evolving customer expectations.

  • IT Landscape Simplification: By consolidating systems and retiring legacy applications, the bank aims to reduce technical debt and support a more flexible, cloud-native infrastructure.

  • Scalable Innovation: The configuration-driven architecture and open API ecosystem allow rapid rollout of new products and seamless third-party integrations.

  • Cloud-Enabled Agility: Leveraging AWS’s cloud services, the bank will benefit from on-demand scalability, robust security, and cost-optimised operations.
