Argentem Creek Partners, an emerging market specialist firm, will participate in an afternoon dedicated to Restructurings, as the world’s financial leaders gather for Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2022. The flagship event is hosted by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the international financial centre of the UAE’s capital.
On Tuesday, November 15, the afternoon panels will include a cross-section of stakeholders including advisors, investment managers and regulators to provide an overview of Restructurings. The sessions will include discussions on the current market environment, distressed debt in Emerging Markets and strategies for converting pitfalls into opportunities. The panels will also include insights into stakeholder perspectives on turnarounds and case studies on restructurings and successful exits.
Founder, CEO and CIO, Daniel Chapman will deliver the keynote in the afternoon session. He will address the current global economic environment and the implications for Emerging Market Restructurings.
John Patton, Founding Partner, Head of EMEA & Asia of Argentem Creek will lead a panel in Restructuring and Exits: Ingredients for Success. Together, with his fellow panelists, they will explore a case study on the challenges and actions which helped to deliver favourable outcomes to owners, stakeholders, and investors.
Daniel Chapman said, “This is an incredibly dynamic time in the global financial markets, with unprecedented instability created by regulatory frameworks, geopolitical turmoil and volatility across asset classes. The ability to successfully navigate periods of uncertainty can result in attractive investment opportunities, particularly in emerging market restructurings. I look forward to participating in Finance Week and supporting ADGM’s ongoing initiatives. Their support has been critical to help bolster Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading international financial hub that fosters innovation and offers significant competitive market advantages. The event brings together thought leaders across sectors to address a broad spectrum of economic issues creating greater awareness of restructurings and turnaround opportunities.”
Commenting on the event, Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief of Markets at ADGM said, “The current market ecosystem presents many international investors with unique opportunities in the Restructurings and Turnaround space. ADGM is a well-positioned international financial centre for key players in this space and we are pleased to host such a significant event on identifying market opportunities and navigating uncertainties in today’s rapidly evolving financial environment. We look forward to presenting the Turnaround, Restructuring & Insolvency Summit during ADFW and are committed to further developing the UAE’s financial sector.”
Earlier this year, Argentem Creek announced their partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) to establish their MENA and Asia headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
