This enables the customers to make easy and secure contactless payments via their select Fitbit devices.

The announcement is part of Commercial Bank of Kuwait’s policy to provide its customers with advanced electronic services to meet their needs. The COVID-19 situation has resulted in an increased reliance on the sophisticated banking services offered via bank e-channels and contactless payment solutions for ensuring customers’ safety and convenience.

Abdulaziz Essa Malak Assitant General Manager – Retail Banking Division said, “The addition of Fitbit Pay to our suite of solutions reflects our efforts to provide innovative e-payment solutions to our customers.”

Fitbit Pay will now provide Al-Tijari customers with seamless and secure one-touch payments directly on their select Fitbit devices, including the new Fitbit Charge 4 fitness tracker. Fitbit Pay is also available on Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Versa 2, Fitbit Versa 2 Special Edition and Fitbit Charge 3 Special Edition.

To activate Fitbit Pay, customers can use their Fitbit App (Android and iOS) to add any valid Al-Tijari bank cards holding the Mastercard logo, to their Fitbit Wallet.

Fitbit Pay makes it quick and easy to make secure payments wherever contactless payments are accepted without the need for pulling out a wallet or phone. The customer has to press and hold the left button until the payment card is seen on the device screen, then hold the tracker or watch near the NFC-enabled POS terminal until a confirmation of payment appears on the screen.

Abdulaziz Malak emphasised, “Al-Tijari Bank’s e-channels continue to be available around the clock to serve its customers, in addition to the services offered by the Bank’s branches which are operational at the present time.”

Al-Tijari customers can conduct numerous banking services by communicating through Live Video Banking via CBK Mobile and Online Banking. Al-Tijari Bank is equipped to receive customers’ calls around the clock on the Customer Service Centre (1888225) and quickly respond to queries through the bank’s social channels including the WhatsApp Service (50888225).
