Al Baraka Islamic Bank to launch instant debit card issuance

Al Baraka Islamic Bank, Al Baraka, debit card issuance, Bahrain, Sharia Al Baraka Islamic Bank, has announced the launch of the instant debit card issuance service across all its branches within the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This service allows customers to instantly collect their contactless debit cards at the branches or have it delivered at their place at the soonest, as well as replace and renew expired cards safely and securely at their own convenience.

Commenting about this service, Mr. Eyad Alabbasi, Senior Manager – Head of Cards and Electronic Channels at Al Baraka Islamic Bank said, “We are pleased to be launching this service, as it comes as part of our ongoing efforts to provide our customers with convenient services that meet our customers’ banking needs. This reduces waiting time and allows the card to be used immediately.”

Al Baraka Banking Group stated last year that it had launched advanced mobile banking applications, open banking initiatives, and core banking modernization in several units. The Group had mentioned that it had pioneered the digital-only Islamic bank in Germany, ‘Insha’, which is now on stream providing a broad range of services. The Group, through its Turkish subsidiary, has established several FinTechs companies including ‘alneo’ that focuses on e-payments.
