Subscription management solutions provider Subaio has been selected by ABN AMRO, thus making it the first white-label subscription management service for banks to go live in The Netherlands. Subaio will feature on ABN AMRO’s Grip app and will be expected to reduce costs, generate revenue and boost customer experience.

“We are very happy that together with Subaio, Grip now offers customers easy insight into their subscriptions and recurring fixed costs,” said Roland Booijen, Director Apps & Digital Innovation at ABN AMRO. “We are absolutely thrilled to be live in The Netherlands. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner than ABN AMRO. This is truly an innovative bank partner with a razor-sharp focus on customer needs.”

ABN AMRO’s Grip app aims to provide a convenient way for customers to see what they spend by categorising both the incoming- and outgoing payments. Subaio’s addition is expected to offer an overview of all recurring payments in one place and lets users cancel subscriptions straight from the interface, alerting them about any changes.

“Thanks to the technology Subaio has developed, our customers can keep their finances under control in a better way. Subscriptions that you don’t use are an unnecessary waste of money. Grip now helps you to cut back on that waste,” said Roland Booijen.

Subaio’s service is built on numerous European Directives, including the European Union Consumer Rights Directive and Unfair Commercial Practices Directive. The Directives are expected to create a unified cancellation process that makes it easy for the users to get out of unwanted subscriptions. It also protects users against subscription traps.
