ABK partners with Gieom for Digital Policy, Procedure Management

Gieom, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, ABK, Digital Transformation, Compliance, Governance, FinTech, RegTech, India, Kuwait, Middle EastAl Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) has partnered with Gieom to create a centralised platform for the digital management of policy and procedure manuals that regulate the bank’s operations.

This initiative aims to digitise ABK’s policies and operational procedures, providing a source to enhance sound governance practices and improve transparency.

Under the new partnership, a comprehensive centralised platform will be established to simplify the management of the bank’s policies and procedures. This advanced system will allow employees and all stakeholders to review and approve documents, ensuring adherence to best practices and optimal application of governance principles.

“This collaboration represents an important step forward in our digital transformation strategy. By leveraging Gieom’s expertise in digitising policy and process manuals, we aim to enhance governance practices and raise awareness among employees to achieve best practices in implementing governance rules based on the central bank and relevant regulatory authorities’ instructions,” said Dr Ayman Al Belushi, Assistant General Manager of Corporate Governance at ABK.

On his part, Mohammed Shakir Abdullah, Chief Business Officer of Gieom, said, “We are excited to partner with ABK in this strategic initiative. Our Digital Policy & Procedure Management Platform will not only streamline their operations but also empower their employees with the tools necessary for effective change management with transparency. Together, we are setting the stage for a resilient future in banking.”

Gieom’s expertise in policy and process digitisation will significantly support ABK in achieving its goals, paving the way for a more flexible operational framework across its various divisions.

ABK said in a statement that the agreement with Gieom reflects the bank’s commitment to its customers and regulatory authorities in implementing the best systems that create a safe environment based on adhering to sound governance principles and fully applying the instructions of the Central Bank of Kuwait and other regulatory bodies.
