FinTechs in Malta, Europe More than 200 islands in the Mediterranean Sea make up the tiny nation of Malta. Although the smallest in the world, many tech entrepreneurs flock to the country, making it the hotspot for European start-ups.

Notably, Malta is ranked third (after the United Kingdom and Sweden) in the list of countries creating a complete and efficient environment for the development of FinTech companies.
