Duplo has partnered with Ozow to enhance end-to-end financial operations for businesses in South Africa by integrating payment processing with automated financial management tools.
Ozow is widely used by major South African businesses, including Takealot, Mr D Food, and Superbalist, for secure and instant Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments. Through this collaboration, Duplo’s financial operating system will be combined with Ozow’s payment infrastructure to create a unified platform that automates invoicing, reconciliation, and expense management.
The partnership aims to address inefficiencies in financial workflows. Research indicates that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in South Africa spend between 15 to 20 hours each month on manual financial administration, while larger organisations may lose over 120 hours due to complex reconciliation processes. These inefficiencies can result in revenue leakage of up to 5% due to unmatched transactions.
By integrating payment flows directly into Duplo’s platform, transactions processed via Ozow are automatically matched with invoices in real time. This reduces manual data entry by up to 90% and improves accuracy in financial reporting. The system also provides businesses with tools to manage expenses, monitor cash flow, and handle vendor payments within a single interface.
Tunde Akinnuwa, Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder of Duplo, said: “By bridging the gap between payment speed and back-office accounting, we are enabling businesses to turn payment operations into a competitive advantage and focus more on strategic growth.”
Catherine Korsten, Chief Growth Officer at Ozow, added: “Our partnership with Duplo helps businesses optimise collections, improve cash flow, and scale with confidence.”
The solution is expected to support businesses of all sizes in improving operational efficiency and financial visibility.
