Why this matters: The partnership expands cross-border payment access, helps merchants offer familiar local payment methods, reduces checkout friction and supports international e-commerce growth.

Yuno partnered with Ecommpay to expand payment options for merchants operating across Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe. The partnership enabled Yuno merchants to access more than 100 global and local payment methods through a single integration.

The expanded payment options included digital wallets and local payment services such as PayPal, Portugal’s MB Way and Colombia’s PSE. Merchants could also accept card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, instant payment schemes and open banking services across 11 European markets.

The partnership focused on enterprise merchants in the retail and subscription sectors, helping them offer customers familiar payment options and improve the checkout experience.

Mauricio Schwartzmann, Chief Financial Services Officer at Yuno, said the partnership would help merchants launch faster with payment methods expected by customers across Europe and APAC. He also highlighted Ecommpay’s in-house fraud prevention capabilities as an added benefit.

Yuno connected merchants to more than 1,000 payment methods, payment providers and fraud prevention tools across more than 190 countries and territories through a single application programming interface (API).

Roy Blokker, Head of Commercial at Ecommpay, said both companies aimed to help businesses adapt to the changing e-commerce landscape. He added that the wider range of payment methods could help reduce checkout drop-offs by allowing customers to pay using familiar options.

The partnership further expanded Yuno’s payment network and gave merchants access to additional local payment options across key international markets. However, the availability of individual payment methods depended on the market and provider
